Larry Gopnik’s 1966 DODGE CORONET is being auctioned off for charity. The auction will benifit Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California. After 8 bids and with 6 days to go it’s at $5000. A steal if your interested in extremely dull cars used in extremely great movies.
Even though I’ve never heard of the International Cinephile Society I thought I’d report on the outcome of their 2009 awards since A Serious Man won their Best Film prize. They also won in the directing and original screenplay categories. The “ICS” was formed in 2003 and is made up of 60 journalists, scholars, and historians. Blah, blah. All I know is they have good taste.
Things are heating up in the world of A Serious Man. The film is having it’s international premiere this weekend at the Toronot International Film Festival. New Stills, Clips, and Interviews are showing up all over the place. I’ll try to get a few things down here in this post.
First a Few Stills from the Film. This is the first time we’re seeing Larry’s daughter and son.
Here are some clips.
Here are a few interviews
Sorry for the overloaded post. A lot to catch up on.
Apparently Focus Features gets Web 2.0. Not only are they tweeting about their upcoming films they’re setting up Fan Pages on Facebook for them as well. Great place, after visiting Coenesque, to stay up to date on A Serious Man
Of course the big news today is that the trailer for A Serious Man has hit the interweb. Not only that if you’re looking at the trailer on apple.com or itunes it includes the below album art. Perhaps it’s a suggestion of what the poster might look like.
Epic, Intense, Perhaps, best trailer ever?
Or get it in HD from Apple. http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/aseriousman/
