Steven Spielberg Joins Forces With Coen Brothers?

Just looking at the IMDB.com entry for True Grit and I noticed a surprise producer.  See below.  Anyone have any info on how this came about?

Man, this news has sort of irked me. Spielberg seems to be dipping his toe into anything with market value…only when the Coens got considerably higher acclaim with No Country, does he latch onto them. They didnt need Spielberg for this whatsoever.

I don’t think theirs anything wrong with Spielberg, wanting to try different movies, directors, actors,actresses, would like them to try making a movie here in bangor maine, where the whole town could be included. that would be great,
just an idea from an admirer of talented people that can do.
